Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame

The Saginaw Valley State University Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee is currently soliciting nominations for the 2013 induction class, which will be honored the weekend of September 27th during the upcoming football season.  Since the selection process began in 2009, 13 former Cardinal student-athletes and two teams have been inducted into the Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame.  

The third class was formally inducted into the Hall of Fame on September 14, 2012 at a dinner ceremony, and was honored the following night at halftime of the Cardinals' football game against the University of Findlay.

Hall of Fame History

SVSU Director of Athletics Mike Watson and the Hall of Fame Committee established the Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame to recognize and honor individuals who have made exemplary contributions to Saginaw Valley State University Athletics.  The inaugural class was announced Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at a press conference in the Ryder Center, and was formally inducted on Sept. 17, 2010 at a dinner ceremony and honored at halftime of the Sept. 18 football game against Lake Erie College.
