SVSU Athletics Adds Schulmeyer and Tetrault to Athletic Training Staff

UNVIERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University Athletic Training Department announced the hiring of Stephanie Schulmeyer and Brandon Tetrault today (July 16). 

Schulmeyer joins the athletic training staff after spending the past year at the University of Illinois at Springfield. While there she worked primarily with women's soccer, women's basketball, baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and cheerleading. Prior to UIS she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Indiana University, working with men's and women's swimming and diving and women's water polo. She received her athletic training education at the University of Evansville (Ind.). She has been serving as a certified athletic trainer since January of 2010 and currently is licensed in Indiana and Illinois. Schulmeyer will be working primarily with volleyball, women's basketball, softball and tennis.

Tetrault joins the athletic training staff after serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at South Dakota State University in 2011-12. While there, he mainly worked with football and softball. Prior to SDSU he got his athletic training education at the University of North Dakota. In the summer of 2009, he served as an athletic training intern with the Washington Redskins. He has been serving as a certified athletic trainer since May of 2010. Tetrault will be working primarily with football, men's basketball and men's and women's cross country and track and field.

Both Schulmeyer and Tetrault will begin their duties at SVSU on July 23.
