Anthony Delli-Pizzi was hired as the first ever strength and conditioning coach in school history in August 2011. Delli-Pizzi comes to Saginaw Valley following a two-year stint at fellow GLIAC school Lake Superior State University, where he spent the past two years as the program’s head strength and conditioning coach.
Delli-Pizzi is a certified USA Weightlifting sports performance coach, and National Strength and Conditioning Association specialist. He earned a B.A. in information technology from The City University of New York and a M.S. in exercise science and cardiac rehabilitation from Brooklyn College. Prior joining the Lake Superior coaching staff, Delli-Pizzi served in a similar capacity at Wayne State from 2007-09, was an intern at Michigan State in 2006-07, and worked as a personal trainer from 2004-06. Anthony also was a member of the strength and conditioning staff at the University of Michigan.
Delli-Pizzi is a Bronx, New York native who now resides in Midland with his wife Deanna and son Brandon.
