SVSU Set To Host "Opening Night Under The Lights" Event
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University Athletic Department, in conjunction with the 2013 SVSU Football Team, is set to host its third annual Opening Night Under The Lights event. The free event, which is open to the general public, campus community and people of all ages, will take place on Sunday, August 25th from 6-8pm.
Join the SVSU Football Team on the field and help them kick-off the 2013 season by participating in a series of interactive drills with SVSU Cardinal football players and coaches. Aside from being part of the drills, there are several other events to do around Wickes Stadium on this night. There will be a free poster give-away, autographs and photo opportunities with the players of your choice. An introduction to our game-day promotions is scheduled with the spirit groups and band performing. Head Coach Jim Collins will speak to the fans and then lead all in the SVSU Fight Song to end the evening. A Cardinal Kids Club membership drive with inflatable fun for kids 12 years old and younger will take place as well. Visit www.svsucardinals.com/kidsclub for more information or to become a member.
Once again, this will be a free event open to any and all ages of the general public and campus community. We hope to see everybody out at Wickes Stadium to help the Cardinals start the season right "under the lights".
