Cardinals Jump to No. 8 in NSCAA/Continental Tire DII Rankings
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team jumpped to No. 8 in the the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and Continental Tire NCAA Division II Men's College Rankings today (Sept. 4).

The Cardinals recorded two victories over the past weekend agianst GLVC opponents Lewis and St. Joesphs.  Zach Myers (Grand Rapids. Mich./Forrest Hills Eastern HS) led the Cardinals with five goals and goalkeeper Jason Wise (Troy, Mich.) picked up the two victories in net for SVSU.

Fort Lewis remains in the top spot after starting the season 2-0-0, Lynn and Franklin Pierce remain in the second and third spots, respectively, while Flagler jumps from preseason No. 5 ranking to No. 4. The largest hop into the top ten teams is Saginaw Valley at the eighth position, up from its preseason No. 22 ranking.
