Lady Cardinals Finish 4th at Ashland Invitational

ASHLAND, Ohio -- The SVSU Women's Golf team competed at the 2018 Ashland University Invitational this weekend, finishing in a tie for 4th place after one round of play. Sunday's second and final round was cancelled due to poor weather conditions. 

Saginaw Valley posted a score of 324, finishing a single stroke behind Wittenberg University. GVSU won the weather-shortened event with a tally of 293. 

Sabrina Coffman and Alexa Marston led the Cards with a low round score of 80 to finish in a tie for 20th place overall. Shelbe Cahill posted a score of 81 while Emily Barker had an 83 to finish the team's scoring. Annika Neumann competed as well, shooting an 85 for SVSU.

Up Next...

The team will return to action this upcoming weekend at the 2018 GLIAC Championships. The event will take place Apr. 20-22 at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
