TIFFIN, Ohio - The SVSU women's tennis team fell in a GLIAC contest on the road to the Tiffin University Dragons on Sunday (Sep. 11) morning. The defeat puts the Cardinals at 1-1 overall for the season now with the same 1-1 mark in the GLIAC.

The Dragons claimed a 3-0 edge after doubles play to take a solid advantage. Ana Pico Garcia and Shea Donahue lost a tight one at the #1 doubles slot, falling by an 8-6 score. 

SVSU's only victory of the six singles matches came from Danielle Slonac, who earned a decisive 6-0, 6-1 victory at the #6 singles position over her opponent. Donahue lost a close one at #3 singles, falling in three sets by a score of 2-6, 6-4, 4-6.

The Cardinals continue play this upcoming weekend when they host Grand Valley State Saturday (Sep. 17) in a noon contest before playing Ferris State on Sunday in a 10:00 a.m. matchup.
