UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University baseball's Jack Decker was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

The senior pitcher threw seven innings in the win on Friday, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out nine. After giving up a run in the fifth, Decker retired eight in a row before allowing one walk. He sat down the next six batters to shut the door as he faced one above the minimum over the last 4.1 innings of work.

It's the second GLIAC Pitcher of the Week award for Decker and the first of the season. It's the third GLIAC Player of the Week honor for SVSU Baseball in 2026.

The Cardinals finish their series with Davenport today with a doubleheader before hosting Tiffin at UWM Field in Utica, Michigan and heading to No. 19 Wayne State over the weekend.
