Jamey Lobdell enters his second season as an assistant coach for the SVSU Softball Team, working with the Cardinal infielders and hitters.
Lobdell brings with him 25-plus years of combined coaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels.
He served as the assistant coach at Olivet College during the 2014-15 seasons, working primarily with the infielders and hitters. The team set the program record for victories and advanced to MIAA postseason play each year.
Lobdell is a graduate of the Mid-Michigan Police Academy and retired in 2011 from Ingham County's department. He resided in Stockbridge, Michigan with his wife Debbie of 35 years and has a daughter, Evy, who is on the SVSU Softball team.
