Chelsea Savage (Monroe, Mich./St. Mary's Catholic Central HS), a junior distance runner on the SVSU Women's Track & Field team, earned a first place finish in the 5,000 meter run at the 2012 Northwood Open.

This was the first time Savage has competed in the 5,000 meter run competition in the early days of the 2012 Outdoor Track & Field season.
