Chet LaFave (Charlotte, Mich./Charlotte HS/Olney Central College), a junior catcher and designated hitter on the SVSU baseball team, led the Cardinal offense on the last week of the regular season.

LaFave tallied 10 hits on the week in just 17 at bats, while notching four runs and three RBI's.

LaFave is second on the team in average this season hitting at a .342 clip with 41 hits and 21 RBI's.

The Cardinals have qualified for the 2012 GLIAC Baseball Tournament after finishing 5th in the conference.
