Jonathon Jennings (Columbus, Ohio/Westerville South HS), a sophomore on the SVSU Football team, threw for 235 yards on 19-of-29 passing, 89 rushings and four total touchdowns in the Axe Bowl victory over Northwood. Jennings connected twice with Nick Gallina (Troy, Mich./Troy HS) in the second quarter on 22 and 34-yards touchdown passes to give SVSU the 14-6 halftime advantage. Jonathon would extend the Cardinals lead to 28-20 when he broke loose on a 36-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-one with 4:50 left in the game.
