Damon Bozeman - Men's Basketball
Damon Bozeman (Detroit, Mich. / Madison Heights HS) scored 22 points for the Cardinals in Saturday's game against Tiffin University, as he also surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for his career. Bozeman leads the Cards in career scoring at 1,008.
Men's basketball will play Great Lakes Christian at home on Wednesday (Dec. 9) at 7:00 pm. The team travels to Ashland University on Saturday (Dec. 12) for a GLIAC match at 3:00 pm.
DeAnna Stickler-Gatson - Women's Track & Field
DeAnna Stickler-Gatson (Lansing, Mich. / Muskegon CC) broke the SVSU record in the 600 meter run, posting a time of 1:34.95 on Saturday at the SVSU Holiday Classic. The old record of 1:36.50 was set by Andrea Bowman in 1984. Strickler-Gatson was also on the 4x400 meter relay team that took first with a time of 3:53.57.
SVSU's track and field will compete again on January 15 at the SVSU Classic hosted in the Fieldhouse.
