Max Buxton - Swimming & Diving

Max Buxton (Oakland, Mich. / Rochester Adams HS) qualified for the NCAA Championships Qualifying meet in the three meter diving event with a score of 307.73 on Saturday's meet at Malone University. The score was a personal best and Buxton took first in both the one meter and three meter events.

Lydia Mattar - Swimming & Diving

Lydia Mattar (Lake Orion, Mich. / Lake Orion HS) recorded time tops in the 500 yard freestyle and 200 yard breaststroke and was on the winning 400 medley relay in the meet against Malone. Her time in the 500 free was a personal career best. It was only the second time she has competed in the 500 freestyle this season.

The Cardinals will be competing at the GVSU Diving Invitational next Friday and Saturday, January 29th and 30th, and then at the GLIAC Championships from February 10th through the 13th.
