Andrew Mudd - Track & Field
Andrew Mudd (Auburn, Mich. / Bay City Western HS) took second place in the Men's Heptathlon on Saturday's (Dec. 12) Kent State Golden Flashes Gala. He earned 5,262 points total, taking first in the 1,000 Meter Run, third in the 60 Meter Dash, Long Jump, High Jump, and Pole Vault, fourth in 60 Meter Hurdles, and seventh in Shot Put.
SVSU's track and field will compete again on January 15 at the SVSU Classic hosted in the Fieldhouse.
Emily Wendling - Women's Basketball
Emily Wendling (Flushing, Mich. / Flushing HS) reached 1,000 career points at last weekend's game against #12 Ashland University. SV fell to the Eagles 72-57. Wendling led the Cardinals with 14 points, also recording 5 rebounds.
SVSU's Women's basketball are traveling to Lake Erie this Saturday (Dec. 19) for a 1:00 pm game.
