Robert Tarpley - Men's Track & Field
Robert Tarpley (Lansing, Mich. / Everett HS) took first place in the triple jump at last weekend's Bellarmine Invite in Kentucky with a distance of 47' 5.25". His performance broke the Bellarmine Inivite's previous record by 1' 4.75". He also took second in the long jump with a distance of 22' 4.25". Tarpley's performance ranks him fourth in the GLIAC in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump.
Taylor Stepanski - Women's Track & Field
Taylor Stepanski (Alpena, Mich. / Alpena HS) took first in the 1,500 meter run at last weekend's Bellarmine Invite with a time of 4:34.07. The time places her at second in the GLIAC. Stepanski was also a part of a the 4x400 meter relay team that took first in Kentucky. The relay time also ranks second in the GLIAC.
The Cardinals will travel to Hillsdale College for the Border Battle next Saturday (April 16).
