Shaun Yap - Swimming & Diving
Shaun Yap (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia / Taylor's University - Malaysia) earned 18 points individually and four on the 200 yard medley relay team at last Friday's home meet with Northern Michigan University.
Yap took first in both races he swam individually. His time of 21.52 in the 50 yard freestyle is second in the GLIAC, and in the 200 yard breaststroke he posted a 2:03.46, which is also second in the GLIAC and sixth in the nation for division II schools.
Ashley Henderson - Women's Soccer
Ashley Henderson (Southgate, Mich. / Gabriel Richard Catholic HS) scored the game-winning goal for the women's last soccer game of the season at Northwood University on Saturday (Oct. 31). Henderson's goal put the Cardinals in the lead 1-0 with only five minutes left in the game.
Henderson led the team in goals this season posting ten in total. She also led in assists with four and shots on goal with 31.
