UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University basketball regular season ends this week, with five home games for the Cardinals at the James E. O'Neill Jr. Arena, as the Cardinals gear up for the postseason.  

The Cardinal women welcome Michigan Tech for a crucial Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at 6 pm on Tuesday. SVSU will host Davenport University for a doubleheader starting with the women at 6 pm and followed by the men's game at 8 pm.  

The regular season concludes with a Senior Day doubleheader against Grand Valley State University on Saturday with the women at 1 pm and the men at 3 pm.  

Special Events for the week include: 

Thursday against Davenport:  

• FREE Pizza for SVSU students prior to the men's game (Approximately 7:30 PM)
• RSO Buffalo Wild Wings, Wing Eating Contest at halftime of both games 
• Special honors during the games for recognition of SVSU Women's Cross Country, Fall 2021 All Americans, 2020-21 National Champions, and Lauren Huebner for her NCAA Top-10 Award
• SVSU Pep Band Senior recognition prior to the men's game

Saturday against Grand Valley State: 

• RED OUT for both games. Wear your RED and show you Cardinal Pride 
• FREE SVSU T-Shirts for the first 150 SVSU Students in attendance
• ​SVSU Kids & SIBS weekend participants receive half off the child price ticket for both games. Use the promo code "SVSUSIBS" at the online checkout to receive the discount. 
• Women's Basketball Senior Day Ceremony prior to tip-off 
• Women's Basketball Alumni Day celebration at halftime  
• Men's Basketball Senior Day following the conclusion of the women's game.  
• Ceremony to honor the SVSU women's soccer team at halftime of the men's game. 

SVSU Students must present their SVSU Student ID to receive pizza and t-shirts. While supplies last. 

If you would like to attend more than one game, an additional ticket will need to be purchased for the second game. One ticket does not get you admission to both games.
