NORMAN, Okla. - Saginaw Valley State University junior men's golfers Wyatt Drost and Micah Skidmore have been named to the Division II Ping All-Midwest Region Team. It was announced earlier Tuesday (May 20) by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Drost carried a 73.9 stroke average for the 2013-14 season into this week's national championships. The average is the second-best in the history of SVSU men's golf. Skidmore posted a 75.1 scoring average for the season and was named All-GLIAC for the second time. He earned All-Midwest Region honors in 2012 as well as being named the 2012 GLIAC "Freshman of the Year."
The Cardinals are currently in the midst of their second round of the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championships at The Meadows Golf Course (Allendale, Mich.) and were tied for 15th place after day one.
