KANSAS CITY, Mis. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Super Region No. 3 for the first time in the schools history. The Cardinals wrapped up the No. 4 seed and will take on No. 1 seed Rockhurst University. The other two teams joining the Cardinals are the No. 2 seed Northern Kentucky and No. 3 seed Northwood University.
Saginaw Valley will face off against Rockhurst University on Friday (Nov.11) in the first round of the super regional. Game Time has yet to be announced.
The Cardinals claimed their first GLIAC Championship in school history finishing the regular season with a record of 12-4-2. Junior defender Zach Myers was named GLIAC "Defensive Player of the Year," while head coach Cale Wassermann was tabbed as GLIAC "Coach of the Year."
