BAY CITY, Mich. - SVSU men's soccer junior forward Matt Wilson has been named the week three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's soccer offensive player of the week after leading the Cardinals to a 2-1 record in GLIAC play.
Wilson had a stellar week for SVSU, totaling four goals and three assists in leading the Cardinals to a 2-1 record. He had an assist in all three matches and scored two-apiece in the team's victories over Ohio Dominican (5-1) and Ashland (6-0). Wilson is currently tied for the league lead with five goals and leads the GLIAC in assists (4) and points (14).
The Cardinals carry a 4-2 overall record and 2-2 GLIAC mark into a weekend trip to Ohio, where the Cardinals face Lake Erie Friday (Sep. 23) at 7:00 p.m. before playing at Walsh on Sunday in a 1:00 p.m. contest.
