2025

Irelan had a dominant debut season with SVSU. Along with a string of awards that were highlighted by a third-team All-America selection as well as the 2025 GLIAC Pitcher of the Year honor, she became the first Cardinal pitcher to throw two no-hitters in a single season. Her first came in her 15th start against Parkside, where she was two walks shy of a perfect game in that contest while striking out seven. The second no-hitter happened just two starts later against Davenport. Irelan was three walks from a perfect game against the Panthers. She finished the year 23-4 in the circle with one save and a team-high 237 strikeouts. She set a career-high for strikeouts in a game against Findlay with 17, and she recorded double-digit strikeouts 10 times during the season. Irelan finished in the season leading the GLIAC in 12 pitching categories and was among the best in D2 with nine top 25 rankings.

2023 & 2024 - Kent State University

Irelan played her first two years of collegiate softball at NCAA Division I Kent State University, where she was a three-time MAC Pitcher of the Week. She made 37 starts and had a 19-19 record with 251.2 innings pitched, 203 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.64. Led the team with an ERA of 2.66 as a Sophomore and tied for the most strikeouts with 102. Won back-to-back MAC Pitcher of the Week awards in her second year. Made her collegiate debut on February 10, 2023 against Villanova.

High School

Irelan was the 2021-22 Player of the Year for MLive, Greater Flint Area, and Greater Lansing. She was the 2021-22 Miss Softball in Michigan and an All-State Pitcher. She was named the Flint Kiwanis Female Athlete of the Year in 2022. She pitched 640 innings in three years of varsity action and compiled 1,166 strikeouts. She was a two-sport athlete at Owosso High School, as she was an All-State swimmer in the 100 butterfly and was named to the Lansing Area Dream Team.

Personal

Majoring in elementary education/special education...born in Owosso, Michigan on April 27, 2004...daughter of Brena and Steve Irelan...sisters, Mallory (2018-22) and Madelyn (2016-19), competed in collegiate athletics at Northern Michigan University on the swimming and diving team.
