Cardinal Track and Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2025 NCAA Division II all-academic team and individual honors on Monday (July 21) afternoon. Both the Cardinal men's and women's track and field teams earned the overall team all-academic award. The men compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.27, while the women's team registered a 3.22.

For a team to receive the All-Academic Team award, the GPA of each student-athlete on the institution's squad list for indoor and/or outdoor track and field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

In addition to the team awards, 10 SVSU men and three women were listed on the all-academic athletes list.

Jack Lobodzinski and Karissa Picard earned their second-consecutive USTFCCCA all-academic honor to lead the way for the Cardinals.

To make it on the athlete list, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, completed 24 semester hours through the end of the semester of competition, and earned an automatic or provisional qualifying mark in either the indoor or outdoor season.
