UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University junior Dominic Suliman was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) track athlete of the week when the league office announced the weekly award recipients.

Suliman claims the third GLIAC Track Athlete of the Week award for his career. This week's award is his first since winning back-to-back weeks during the 2024 indoor season.  The 2024 All-American highlighted the SVSU Classic meet this past weekend by nearly matching his SVSU men's indoor 800m record, finishing second in the race with an NCAA qualifying time of 1:50.77. The time is currently the 11th-fastest time in D2.

The Cardinal track and field teams host the annual Doug Hansen Open this Friday, January 23, beginning at 2:30 p.m. (ET).
