NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region teams. Nine Cardinal track and field student-athletes were named to the All-Midwest team.
Natalie Formsma earns All-Midwest Region as a freshman and is the lone representative for the SVSU women's team. She earns her spot with the Heptathlon where she ranked fifth in the region with her performance at the GLIAC Outdoor Championships.
The men's 4x100 relay team of Darryl Carter, Trevor Culpepper, Matthew Gazzarato, and Zachary Harlan were listed among the men's All-Midwest selections. The quartet ranked third in the region with the time of 40.12 that was set at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet in April. Culpepper is making his second appearance on the All-Region squad, having earned the honor last outdoor season as well. Carter, Gazzarato, and Harlan are making their debut on the list.
Xavier Santiago and Sawyer Moloy repeat on the all-region team in the men's high jump, after being named during their freshman season last year. Santiago is tied for the top mark in the region with a clearance of 2.19m. Moloy is tied for third with his mark of 2.14m.
Andrew Quinn returns to the all-region list after earning his first one during the 2023 outdoor season. Quinn ranks fourth in the shot put with a best-throw of 17.68m back at the Spartan Invite in early April.
Jacob Walker is an all-region selection for the first time in his career in both the 5k an 10k. His 29:09.04 time in the 10K that he set at the WashU Distance Carnival in March puts his second in the region, while he ranks fourth in the 5K with his time of 13:58.35 that he clocked at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California.
Santiago, Moloy, Quinn, and Walker will compete at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships beginning this Thursday, May 21 with Walker running the 10K. Santiago and Moloy compete in the high jump on Friday, May 22. Quinn throws the shot put and Walker runs the 5K on the final day (Saturday, May 23).
