HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley
State women’s basketball team lost tonight (Jan. 29) to
Hillsdale College, 98-48.
The Cardinals were led by sophomore guard Kelley Wesp (Cincinnati,
Ohio) who had 15 points, and freshman guard Morgan Hughes
(Pinckney, Mich.) who knocked down 10 points. As a team, the
Cardinals shot 40.4 percent from the floor.
The loss drops the Cardinals to 2-16 overall and 1-12 in the
GLIAC, while Hillsdale College moves to 16-2 overall and 11-2 in
the GLIAC. SVSU will return to action at 1 p.m. Saturday to take on
Findlay in GLIAC action.
