TIFFIN, Ohio - The Saginaw Valley State women’s basketball team lost to the Dragons of Tiffin University tonight (Dec. 18) 75-53 in their first leg of their Ohio trek.

Freshman guard Marah Kyle (Bluffton, Ind.) scored 17 points to lead the Cardinals on offense, and sophomore guard Kelley Wesp (Cincinnati, Ohio) contributed eight on the night.

The Cardinals shot 34 percent from the floor, and went 16-of-20 from the charity stripe in the game.

The loss drops SVSU’s record to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the GLIAC, while Tiffin improves to 3-6 and 2-2 in the GLIAC. Saginaw Valley State will return to action at 1 p.m. Saturday as the Cardinals prepare to take on Ashland University in the second leg of their Ohio trek.
