SVSU Women's Basketball Senior Speech - Kristen Greene

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI – In case you were not able to attend the Saginaw Valley State University Women's Basketball Celebration, svsucardinals.com has provided the senior speeches from Cardinal seniors Kristen Greene and Kayla Womack.

Today we will be highlighting a product of Brown City, Mich., Kristen Greene. The 5'8" guard appeared in 98 games over her career, averaging 11.2 points and 4.3 rebounds. As a senior, she averaged a team-high 15.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals per game. Greene also set a new mark for single-season free-throw percentage (89.2%), became SVSU's all-time leader in three-point attempts (424) and sits third for career three-point makes (147).

Greene was a Second Team All-GLIAC selection and named as a member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) Academic-Athletic Team. In addition, she surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for her career in a Cardinal uniform on February 13th at Northern Michigan University.

The 3.82 grade point average, nursing major plans to graduate this summer. The Cardinals held their annual celebration on Thursday, April 24 in Curtiss Hall on SVSU's campus.
