SVSU Women's Basketball Senior Speech - Kayla Womack

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI – Today svsucardinals.com brings you Kayla Womack's senior speech from the Saginaw Valley State Women's Basketball Celebration.

A native of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., Womack was an anchor for much of the success during the 2013-14 season for the Cardinals. This past year, she started 24 games, averaged 33.4 minutes, 15.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game. She also shot 47.2% from the field and 74.0% at the charity stripe. In all, Womack was able to post career-highs during the 2013-14 season in 12 statistical categories.

Womack was a Second Team All-GLIAC selection and was named the Meijer "Player of the Game" seven times. During the 2013-14 season she scored 15+ points in 13 of SVSU's 26 games. She finished her career with 937 points and 342 rebounds in a cardinal uniform.

In their final season, Womack, along with fellow senior Kristen Greene, led the Cardinals to 14 overall victories (most since the 2003-2004 season) and 12 GLIAC wins (most since the 1998-1999 season).

The Cardinals held their annual celebration on Thursday, April 24th in Curtiss Hall on SVSU's campus.
