BAY CITY, Mich. - SVSU women's basketball senior forward Emily Wendling has earned her fifth GLIAC North Division Player of the Week honor after leading the Cardinals to a victory at Wayne State on Thursday night.
Wendling led the Cardinals in sealing the outright GLIAC North title, notching her eighth double-double of the season and 17th game with at least 20 points in scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in Thursday's 77-70 win at Wayne State. Wendling slid into second place on the SVSU all-time scoring list and is just four points from breaking the all-time scoring record of 1,922 points.
Saginaw Valley hosts Northern Michigan on Tuesday (Feb. 28) night in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. at SVSU's O'Neill Arena.
