GLIAC – Saginaw Valley State University senior guard Kaitlyn Zarycki was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's basketball player of the week for the fourth time this season by the league office on Tuesday morning.
Zarycki led the team in scoring including a performance against Ferris State where she fell one assist shy of a double-double after a 24-point and nine-assist stat line in the contest. The senior guard is currently ranked second in the GLIAC with 20.3 points per game and leads the league in free-throw percentage at 88.2.
This is the seventh conference player of the week award for Zarycki's career, the fourth of the 2022-23 campaign. It is also the fourth weekly conference award for the SVSU women's basketball team this season.
The Cardinals are back in action this Thursday at home versus GLIAC-leading Grand Valley State University at 6:00 p.m.
