UNIVERSITY CENTER - Coming off a dominant victory over Lake Superior State University on Saturday (9-0), the SVSU women's tennis team kept the momentum going in another convincing victory on Sunday, this one an 8-1 victory over Michigan Tech in GLIAC action.
The Cardinals took two of the three doubles matches, as Izabella Ismailova and Danielle Slonac were victorious at the #2 doubles position by a score of 8-4 and the duo of Abigail Shonk and Shea Donahue claimed an 8-1 victory at #3 doubles. The only loss in doubles and the entire match was a very narrow defeat in #1 doubles, where Erin Doud and Ana Pico fell by a score of 9-8.
SVSU continued the strong play in singles, as the Cards had a clean sweep over the Huskies in the six match-ups. The players claimed victory by the following scores...

Saginaw Valley improves to 3-3 overall and 3-3 in GLIAC play after the weekend sweep. Michigan Tech falls to 1-5 overall and the same 1-5 in league play. The Cards travel to the 2015 ITA Regional Tournament in Indianapolis for competition Friday through Sunday.
