- Pico was the last match out on the court in her #2 singles matchup. She took the opening set 7-5 and had a 5-4 edge serving for the match in the second. She would drop that one by the same 7-5 count and her Warrior opponent eventually claimed a third set tiebreaker, 10-8.

From SVSU Head Coach Jenn Boehm
"Going in, this contest looked to be a very close matchup. We knew is we could win two out of the three doubles matches we could put ourselves in a position to win. We did just that and really played our hearts out in singles. Unfortunately we came up just short of the team victory but our team really showed that they are truly great competitors. This is a match we lost 8-1 last year, so to see us competitive in every match on every court truly shows the progress we are making with this program. We are feeling confident going into the GLIAC Tournament this weekend. The field is wide open and we are capable of big things."
