UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University Department of Athletics is set to host its first-annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony tonight (Sep. 17). This year's inaugural class consists of six individuals and one team that helped lay the foundation for athletic success at Saginaw Valley State.
"It is with great honor and pride that I am able to be a part of these ground-breaking festivities this weekend", stated SVSU Athletic Director Mike Watson. "Tonight an extraordinary group of individuals and one team will be inducted into the Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame. This group will forever be known as the founders of a new and special tradition in SVSU Athletic Department history".
The mission of the SVSU Athletic Hall of Fame is to commemorate and honor student-athletes, coaches, staff and teams whose accomplishments have contributed to the esteemed traditions of Cardinal Athletics and whose character brings distinction and excellence to Saginaw Valley State University.
