UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Former Saginaw Valley State University Men's Basketball standout, Dante Williams, has signed with the German professional Schwelmer Baskets of the Second Bundesliga Pro B North.

Williams, a transfer from East Tennessee State University and Romulus, Mich. native, played two seasons with the Cardinals. Williams started at guard in every contest at SVSU from 2007 to 2009. In his senior season, Dante led the squad with a team-high 16.9 points per game, shooting 43% from three-point range and 88% from the free-throw line. Williams tied a single-game school record at home against Ashland in 2009 when he connected on eight three-pointers on his way to a 35-point output.

The former Cardinal joins a very successful Schwelmer Baskets club going 17-5 in 2010-11 to finish atop the Pro B North standings.
