UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The SVSU womens tennis team lost to Wayne State University 6-3 on Friday.

SVSU senior Danielle Coldren (West Bloomfield, Mich./Pontiac Notre Dame Prep HS) defeated Wayne State’s Deby Correa in straight sets 6-4,6-1 and Cardinal sophomore Sarah Campian (Troy, Mich./Troy HS) took her match to three sets before putting away Meghan Luzod.

In doubles action, SVSU’s Cortney Heilman (East China, Mich./St. Clair HS) and Annessa Campian (Troy, Mich./Troy HS) won the lone match for the Cardinals.

The loss gives SVSU a record of 2-5 overall and 2-5 in the GLIAC as they head into their next match against Ashland University on Oct. 3.
