UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley
State University football team moved up to the third spot in the
NCAA DII Regional Rankings released today (Oct. 19).
The top-six teams from each region advance to the NCAA Playoffs,
with the top-two teams from each region receiving a first round
bye. The third and fourth seed teams host first round games, on
campus sites November 14. SVSU last made the postseason in 2005,
when they advanced to the regional final against Grand Valley State
University.
The Cardinals will return to action this weekend on Saturday (Oct.
31) when they travel to Michigan Tech. for a 1:00 pm start. The
Cardinals will be home for their final two games of the regular
season.
